plAAy: Contemporary Asian Art in Blackburn with Darwen

Background

plAAy is a 2 year legacy project following on from the hugely successful C21 Project in Blackburn with Darwen in 2005 – 2006.

After the culmination of C21, Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery received support from Arts Council England for a further 2 year Contemporary Asian Art Programme that aims to promote and support Contemporary Asian (International and UK Based) Artists through a programme of exhibitions and artist residencies.

plAAy is part a legacy project of C21 but also a programme aimed at developing a dedicated, exciting Contemporary Asian  Arts programme within Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery.
